Adam VanAvery’s 13th place finish in last Saturday’s Outlaw Super Late Model feature allowed him to extend his lead in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Michigan state Rookie of the Year point standings. VanAvery now leads Rich Mersereau, who did not compete Saturday night, by 30 points in the race to be the top rookie in the state for 2011. Adam has competed in all nine Outlaw Super Late Model events in 2011 and has one top ten finish.
