Kalamazoo Speedway Announces the Take2 Contest

Kalamazoo Speedway is proud to present a new, creative way to get fans involved on a different level at the Speedway each week. The new “Take2 Contest” will run 10-12 times throughout the racing season, giving 100 random fans a driver to pull for in a couple different races that they may not be familiar with. If both drivers that get assigned to you through a random draw win, YOU win! We will start out the prize package with 4 $12 general admission race tickets to use for the 2012 season, and $25 cash. Each week, various contest sponsors will add a prize, cash donation, or gift certificate to the package. Each week we play, the divisions and drivers change. In the event that we have no winner for that specific week, the prize pool rolls over and add the new sponsors prizes! Opening night is guaranteed $123 in cash and prizes to win! It’s 100% FREE to play!

To date, Nash Outlets has donated $150 in cash and a $50 gift certificate for their Kalamazoo, Michigan based store, spreading that out over 3 races. The group from Jensen Security has stepped up with a $50 cash donation for one week, and we thank Bev and the group over in Portage, Michigan. Longtime Speedway track employee Ellen Appelhans has donated $100 total in cash for 2 separate weeks in loving memory of a great racer that we lost too early over the winter, her husband, Andy Appelhans. She requested one date that would be an anniversary for them, and we thank her and the family! Another track employee, Kim Cook, has made a $50 cash, $25 ThirtyOne gift certificate, and another $25 Cierra Ashley gift certificate to be added to the pool one week in June.

We will be in the grandstands after qualifying and throughout some heat races. Pulling out a lucky numbered poker chip from a bag will indicate your weekly drivers. If you win, stop down in the pits after the races to claim your prize!

If your company would like to get involved, we have a few weeks remaining to fill. It’s a great, cheap way to get involved in racing, and get your company name heard at the racetrack! Contact track announcer Jason Seltzer at Jason@KalamazooSpeedway.com if you are interested.
