Bozell Passes Harrington in Closing Stages to Win @ the Zoo

Andy Bozell made an outside pass on Todd Harrington in the closing stages to win the Outlaw Super Late Model feature Saturday night at Kalamazoo Speedway.  Tom Thomas rebounded from a major accident a week ago to finish third ahead of point leader and fast qualifier Phil Bozell and Trent Hellenga.  Notable finishers in the twenty car field included John Chapman in 7th.

Mike “Bubba” Brooks picked up the win in Modified Madness holding off former champion Brent Hook.  Point leader Ben Raber finished a hard fought third ahead of Rodney Nettleton and Lindsey Katz.  Notable finishers included Ryan Wheeler in 6th and Matt Bainbridge in 7th.  Raber also set quick time.

In the Pro Stocks Bob Metheny emerged victorious after holding off Toby Montgomery in a green-white-checkered finish.  Point leader Keith Wilfong finished third ahead of Scott Elsey and young Tyler Hufford.    Lloyd Brooks set quick time and finished 7th.

Kaylee Misak scored a popular win in the Cyber Stock feature after setting quick time earlier in the evening.  Bryen Pion finished second ahead of Doug Smith, Dan DenBraber and Bob Miller.  Point leader Nick Layman and Jerry Jansen III were both involved in a crash and finished 20th and 21st.

Next on the schedule is one of the biggest events on the Kalamazoo Speedway schedule as the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series will be in town next Saturday, July 16th!!  Over twenty Sprinters are expected to take their shot at the track record.  This event will also see the return of Outlaw Super Late Models on slick tires!!  Expect the fastest speeds in years for a weekly event at the Zoo as over twenty Super Lates are expected to run for the $2,000 to win!  Finally the Super Stocks will return from their week off and continue their super tight point battle.  For much more information on this event keep your eyes glued to kalamazoospeedway.com.
