Jenison, MI (4-3-12) – The 2012 racing season is just weeks away and everyone in the Midwest racing community is itching to get back on track. There is no exception when it comes to Outlaw Late Model drivers, who every year travel to one of the nations largest events, the Intimidator 100 at Kalamazoo Speedway. This $2,500-to-win spectacle showcases the bad fast outlaw cars for the first race night of the season at ‘The Zoo’.
In 2012 the Intimidator will be even bigger, as Boyne Machine Company has come onboard to be the presenting sponsor of the 100-lap race. The April 21 Intimidator 100 presented by Boyne Machine will be the first of three races that Boyne will be part of. Boyne Machine will be partial sponsor the 2012 Super Stock Klash on Wednesday June 13 $5,000-to-win race, and the world-renown Outlaw Late Model Kalamazoo Klash on August 15.
“During my previous ownership of the Berlin Raceway over the past three seasons, Gary and Donna Howe were always there to help me out. This is my way to show sincere appreciation for that and to help their outstanding program in Kalamazoo,” said Michael Blackmer, co-owner of Boyne Machine Company.
Boyne Machine Company will also be the presenting sponsor of the Fast Time Award for each of the three events, presenting the quickest qualifier with $100.
“We are amped up to get our 2012 season underway, and the addition of Mike and Boyne Machine to our already stout group of partners just makes us that much more excited,” stated Gary Howe, co-owner of Kalamazoo Speedway. “I believe that this partnership really caters to our drivers, and will help increase Boyne Machines impact throughout the racing community even more than what they already accomplish.”
