Bergakker Looking for his First Ever Outlaw Super Late Model Championship This Saturday

12-time Kalamazoo Speedway Outlaw Super Late Model champion Andy Bozell left the Intimidator 100 all the way back in April in a very familiar position, the point lead.  Bozell held on to the lead through the months of May, June and July based on his trademark run of incredibly consistent finishes.  He then took a 40 point lead into August 11th’s “Thomas Harding Memorial Klash Tune-Up”.  Unfortunately for Bozell engine problems took him out of that event and consequently put him eight points behind Brian Bergakker heading into last week’s “Scott’s Cards 50”.  Another win by Bergakker, his third of the season, has now propelled him to a 21 point advantage entering the championship deciding event this Saturday night.

The Allstar Performance 100 will decide which of these two drivers will be the 2012 champion.  Although Bergakker carries a slim point lead into the event, Bozell carries a ton of experience in championship deciding events.  Bergakker is no stranger to championship battles, as he was the Kalamazoo Speedway 2008 Modified champion.  With that said he has never battled for a championship of this magnitude.  The Outlaw Super Late Model champion for this season will bring home $5,000 from the Kalamazoo Speedway point fund.
