This year’s Klash will remain a one day event, however due to many of the CRA teams having never raced at Kalamazoo Speedway and with the recent announcement that Kyle Busch will be racing in both the CRA event as well as in the Outlaw Super Late Race, we are going to have a non-mandatory open practice for both the CRA and Outlaw cars. There will be no transponders or scoreboard being used at Tuesday’s practice. Practice tires will of course be sold at Tuesday’s practice however there will be No Outlaw Super Late Model Race Tires being picked out, being sorted or being purchased/mounted for Wednesdays Klash! Race tires will be sold at 9AM Wednesday when the pit gates open.   Also remember that no trailers will be allowed to park in the infield for Wednesdays Klash, but drivers will be allowed to leave their cars/equipment in the infield following Tuesdays Practice.

Advance tickets for July 26th’s “Night of Speed” featuring the Must See Racing.com Xtreme Winged Sprint Series are now available for 25% off face value!! Advance tickets can be purchased for just $15 during the week from 7:30-5:00 at Howe Patio & Windows, located at 150 10th Street in Plainwell, MI. Tickets will also be available for $15 at the Kalamazoo Speedway ticket office on July 12 and July 19. Tickets will be $20 on July 26. Children 10-15 will be just $10 and kids 9 and under will only be $5 for this huge event!

The “Night of Speed” is one of the stops on the prestigious “Michigan Must See Seven” tour for the Must See Racing.com Xtreme Winged Sprint Series. Drivers expected to compete include Brian Gerster, Jimmy McCune, Troy DeCaire, Aaron Pierce, Ryan Litt and many more! The event will be broadcast on a tape delayed basis and will air Thursday, September 11th on MAVTV.

In addition to the Must See Racing.com Xtreme Winged Sprint Series Kalamazoo Speedway will have three of their own divisions in action on July 26th, including the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Outlaw Super Late Models, who will run the “Raceceiver 50”, giving race fans the opportunity to see a fifty lap Sprint Car feature and a fifty lap Outlaw Super Late Model feature on the same night! The Super Stocks and Cyber Stocks will also be in action. The rain date for the event will be the next day, Sunday, July 27th.

This Saturday, July 12 the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Outlaw Super Late Models take center stage with the running of the “7UP 50″. The Super Stock and Pro Stocks will also be in action, as will the Mini Stocks, who will run the “Mini Stock Nationals Presented by Steensma”. The Cyber Stocks will complete the program.

The Stars & Stripes Enduro Presented by Shifters took place in front of a great crowd Friday night at Kalamazoo Speedway with Todd VandenToorn emerging victorious. Jerrud Stout finished an impressive second ahead of Jeff Cauffman, Chaz Hook and Mark Rozell. Shane Miller led the second half of the top ten over Terry Ferrell, Brad Thayer, Jeremy Sunnock and Sam Andrews.

The Vores Compact Touring Series put on another good race with Todd Metz Jr. picking up the win over Todd Metz Sr. Ron Fizzell finished third ahead of Chris Jennings and William Hartman. Josh Richardson finished sixth beating out Mark Eaton, Mike Westphal, Steve Vore and James Yester.

Next Saturday, July 12 the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Outlaw Super Late Models take center stage with the running of the 7UP 50. The Super Stock and Pro Stocks will also be in action, as will the Mini Stocks, who will run the Mini Stock Nationals Presented by Steensma. The Cyber Stocks will complete the program.

Toby Montgomery, Pro Stock driver, has been suspended from Kalamazoo Speedway until August 31, 2014 for violating the tracks Driver Conduct Policy.

On June 28 Montgomery was found to have violated Section 2B (Flagrant and/or repeated un-sportsmanlike conduct on the track or in the pits) of the 2014 Kalamazoo Speedway rule book.

This Friday, July 4th Kalamazoo Speedway will celebrate Independence Day with the running of the “Stars & Stripes Enduro Presented by “Shifters”. The event will be a road course event and the layout of this year’s track should be a driver and fan favorite! Also in competition will be the Vores Compact Touring Series, who will kick off the action for the evening. Once the fireworks are completed on the track fans will be able to turn their attention to the skies for the largest fireworks display in Kalamazoo Speedway history!

Twelve-time NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Kalamazoo Speedway Outlaw Super Late Model champion Andy Bozell picked up the victory in Saturday night’s “LKQ 50” at Kalamazoo Speedway. Bozell held off a hard charging Todd Harrington for the victory while fast qualifier Mark Shook, Luke Krick and John Chapman rounded out the top five. Adam Terry finished a solid sixth ahead of Phil Bozell, Mike “Bubba” Brooks, Rick Senneker and Matt Krywosinski.

The Outlaw Super Late Models also ran the “Texas Corral 50”, postponed a week by rain. In that feature Rick Senneker came out victorious over Matt Corliss, Krick, Terry and Andy Bozell. The second half of the top ten was led by Shook, who beat out Harrington, Brooks, Matt Frazier and Marc Casey.

The Super Stocks started the evening off by resuming their feature from the previous week. Kenny Head picked up the win in the first half of the double header holding off Buddy Head, Scott Rugg, Chris Shannon and Jerry Pierman. Patrick Kirkendall finished sixth ahead of James Roden, Kelli Jo Hofacker, Rob Hardy and Jordan Hunderman.

The second feature saw a lot of intense racing action with Buddy Head emerging victorious to complete the Head brother’s sweep of the features. Rugg finished second while Hofacker, fast qualifier Kenny Head and Shannon completed the top five. Pierman finished sixth beating out Rodney Spencer, Mike Williams, Geoff Druin and Roden.

The Pro Stock division also had double features with the first feature being their biggest event of the season, the “Pro Stock Cash Bash Presented by Applebee’s”. The action packed event saw Budd Hybels come out on top holding off Barry Jenkins, Keith Wilfong, Zach Westdorp and Greg Brown. John Foote Jr. finished sixth ahead of Doug Smith, John Bassett, Bruce Wiard and Dave Hopwood.

The night’s second feature saw John Foote Jr. end the event in victory lane after holding off Brent Hook over the closing laps to pick up the victory. Hybels finished third ahead of Wilfong and Jenkins. The second half of the top ten was led by Westdorp over Ron Landis, Brown, Ed Burgen and Bassett. Toby Montgomery set quick time.

The Mini Stocks ran “Mini Stock Mayhem Presented by USA Earthworks” with Jerime Damron picking up the victory in a hard fought battle with Chuck Greer. Billy Bussema finished third ahead of Chaz Hook and former champion Frank Stager. Shane Clark finished sixth ahead of Noah Gallandt, fast qualifier Mike McKee, Daniel Bratcher and Logan Knight.

The Cyber Stock division ran their biggest event of the season, the “Cyber Stock Goat Roper 25 Presented by Weller Auto Parts”. When the checkered flag flew fan favorite Curtis “Tiger” Towne picked up the win over Cliff Lambert, Josh Roberts, fast qualifier Jerry Jansen Jr. and Jerry Jansen III. Kyle Jansen led the second half of the top ten over Brian Gregersen, Ryan Hufford, Keegan Dykstra and Dan Rigoni.
