After having a lengthy conversation with Ellen Appelhans today, it is with a heavy heart that I need to inform the local racing family that one of it’s most popular drivers in Southwest Michigan, Andy Appelhans, has been diagnosed with cancer. The entire Appelhans family has a courageous fight ahead of them and we would urge you all to keep Andy, Ellen, Andrea, Nikki and Courtney in your thoughts and prayers.
