Thomas Tops Super Shoe Nationals Friday Qualifying

Tom Thomas was the quickest of all in Friday night’s Super Shoe Nationals XXVI Presented by SendOutCards qualifying session.  Almost 200 cars packed the pits, with Thomas’s 12.739 second lap being the fastest of the day.  Phil Bozell, the defending race winner, was second quickest ahead of Jeff Ganus, Brian Ross and Andy Bozell.  Mark Shook was sixth ahead of Luke Krick, Corey Ryman, Dave Sensiba and Corey Pressler.  The other drivers that would currently lock into the show are Dave Lober, Jeff Bozell, Marc Casey, Doug Rodanhisler, Kelli Jo Hofacker and Jamison Russell, who currently occupies the bump spot heading into Saturday’s late arrival qualifying session.  Notable drivers that will be in Sunday’s Last Chance races include Brandon Zachary, former track champion Jerry Drake, Jake Hopwood, Tom Wright, Mark Vance, Mike Brooks, Tim Bullis and Corey Woods.

2012 Mini Stock champion Frank Stager was quickest of all in Mini Stock Nationals qualifying.  Noah Gallandt, Dustin Kline, Shane Clark and Jeremy Collins rounded out the top five.

Jack Cook topped qualifying for the FWD Mini Shoe over Ryan Vist and former Cyber Stock champion Keith Dunham.  Barry Jenkins and Matt Corliss completed the top five.

Tomorrow will be a busy day at the track, with racing starting at 4:30.  Racing will consist of heat races, last chance races and the fan favorite Dash For Cash.
