Kalamazoo Speedway Announces Tentative Schedule for 2012!

Kalamazoo Speedway’s 2012 schedule will once again be highlighted by the Kalamazoo Klash on Wednesday night August 15.  This year’s Klash will be the 20th annual and will continue to be the number one Outlaw Super Late Model event on the planet.  The Klash will be one of SEVEN Outlaw Super Late Model specials scheduled for 2012.  The season will kick off with the Intimidator 100 on April 21, which will pay $2,500 to the winner.  The Lane 75 moves up one week from its traditional Memorial weekend date to May 19 and will pay $1,250 to this year’s winner.  A new event will take place in June as the Firecracker 75 will take place on June 30 and pay $1,500 to win.  After a successful debut on the 2011 schedule the Hoosier Hustle will return in 2012 on July 14 and will pay $2,000 to the winner.  That event will be run in conjunction with a Sprint Car series event.  More details on this event will be announced at a later date.  Before the Klash, the drivers will “tune-up” with the Kalamazoo Klash Tune-Up on August 11, a race that will pay $1,250 to win.  Finally the season will conclude with the Season Championship 100 lap feature event on September 1.  The Outlaw Super Late Models will run 18 point paying events and the non-point Klash in 2012 for a total of 19 events.

2012 will absolutely be the biggest year ever for Kalamazoo’s Super Stock division.  The division will see the addition of the “Super Stock Klash” on Wednesday night June 13.  This race will pay $5,000 to the winner and see the best Super Stock drivers from all over the Midwest make the trip to the Zoo.  In addition to the Super Stock Klash the division will have three other special races in 2012 kicking off with Super Stock Mania on April 28, paying $750 to win.  The “Summertime 50” will also pay $750 to win on July 21 as will the Super Stock Spectacular on August 25.

Pro Stocks will see three specials in 2012 highlighted by the $650 to win Pro Stock Hustle on August 4.  In addition to that event Pro Stocks will also have two events paying $500 to win.  The first will be the Pro Stock Spring Fling 35 on May 5.  Finally the Pro Stocks will run the Pro Stock Cash Bash on June 9.

Despite being a new division in 2012, the Mini Stocks will see an action packed schedule that will be highlighted by the running of the Mini Stock Nationals on July 21.  This race will pay an unprecedented $500 to win!  Two other Mini Stock specials will pay $400 to win each.  Those races are: Mini Stock Madness on May 26 and Mini Stock Mayhem on June 23.

The 2012 season will be the biggest in Cyber Stock history as well with three events paying $250 to the winner.  Those races will be the: Goat Roper 25 on May 12, Cyber Mania on June 2 and the Cyber Stock Nationals on July 28.

The Belle Tire Enduro Series returns with the addition of the $5,000 to win Belle Tire Stars & Stripes Enduro on Tuesday, July 3.  That event will also include the largest fireworks display in the Midwest!

Several other specials are also included on the calendar including the Night of Destruction on September 8 and Call of the Wild on September 15.  The 26th annual Super Shoe Nationals moves from its traditional October date to the final weekend in September and the Off-Road Demo Derby returns on June 16.
