Kalamazoo Klash XXIV to Be Broadcast on Speed51.com

The nation’s biggest Outlaw Super Late Model race is returning to Speed51.com in 2016.  In a joint announcement on Wednesday, Speed51.com and Kalamazoo Speedway officials announced that the Kalamazoo Klash XXIV will be broadcast live on Speed51 TV next Wednesday night.

“Speed51 has been an excellent partner to Kalamazoo Speedway over the past several seasons.  Bob Dillner and his team are true racers,” said Gary Howe, owner/promoter of Kalamazoo Speedway.  “They have a passion for this sport and they do an excellent job of covering the premier short track events around the country.  It is an honor that the Kalamazoo Klash has become one of those events and the fact that people all over the world can now see the Klash on Speed51.com is a great thing for all parties involved.”

In addition to the 125 green flag laps on deck for the Outlaw Super Late Models, the ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Models will also be in competition for a 125-lap feature race.  Since the addition of the CRA Super Series in 2014, even more luster has been added to the prestigious event.

“The twin 125-lap races at the Kalamazoo Klash are sure to provide racing fans with edge-of-your-seat entertainment,” said Brandon Paul, Editor of Speed51.com.  “A unique combination event like this with two different brands of Late Models gives fans a little bit of everything.  We’re proud to have a great relationship with Gary, Donna and the entire team at Kalamazoo Speedway, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring this great event to a national audience.”

A pair of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers, Matt Crafton and Erik Jones, have entered the event and will join the region’s best Late Model racers.  Crafton will compete in the Outlaw Super Late Model portion of the event, while Jones plans to enter the CRA Super Late Model race.

Southeast Super Late Model ace Bubba Pollard has also filed an entry for the Outlaw portion of the event.   He will be joined by regional stars such as Tyler Roahrig, Steve Needles, Mike “Bubba” Brooks and Terry Senneker, Jr. who will be chasing a Klash victory.

Current ARCA/CRA Super Series points leader Cody Coughlin will lead a strong list of Super Late Model competitors that includes defending series champion Grant Quinlan, Michigan driver Brian Campbell and defending JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour champion Dalton Armstrong.

The live video stream of the Kalamazoo Klash will begin at 4 p.m. ET and will include all of the qualifying action for both divisions.

Speed51.com’s frontstretch camera will bring you all of the action while race fans listen into the call from the Kalamazoo Speedway public address system.

Live video tickets for the Kalamazoo Klash can be purchased today for just $19.99 by clicking here.
