Harrington Becomes Seventh Different Winner in Seven Races @ the Zoo

Todd Harrington won an action packed Outlaw Super Late Model feature Saturday night at Kalamazoo Speedway to become the seventh different winner in seven races.  Brian Bergakker set quick time and drove all the way from 15th to 2nd and in doing so gained ground in the championship battle.  Todd Dougherty finished an impressive 3rd ahead of Luke Krick and point leader Andy Bozell.  Jeff Bozell, Mark Shook, Johnny Benson, Phil Bozell and Trent Hellenga finished sixth through tenth.  Dougherty and Rick Senneker won the heats.

Another thrilling Super Stock feature ended with Matt Corliss holding off a hard charging Kenny Head, who set quick time and started 13th.  Chris Shannon finished third ahead of Brandon Lyons and Jake Hopwood.  The second half of the top ten was led by Ryan Wheeler who beat Chris Orr, Ben Beeler, Mickey Cornwell and Gary Denzel.  Darren Lane and Orr won the heats.

Billy Bussema set quick time, started dead last and won Mini Stock Mayhem presented by Cool 101.  Bobby Blount made his first visit of the season and finished 2nd ahead of Noah Gallandt, Wayne Kline and Terry Kline.  James Blakely finished 6th ahead of Robert Mason, Doug Smith, Frank Stager and Rick VanCleave.  Notable finishers included Andrew Brest in 12th.

Brent Hook picked up his first Pro Stock win holding off point leader and fast qualifier Lloyd Brooks.  Former champion Greg Haynes finished 3rd ahead of Keith Wilfong and Tyler Hufford.  Zack Cook finished 6th ahead of Bryan Noble, Ron Landis, Danny Oxford and Shawn Misak.  Brooks and Haynes won the heats.

The Cyber Stocks put on another great show with Wayne Stack coming out on top over Dale Leonard and Jerry Jansen III.  Jack Cook was 4th ahead of Keith Smith, Logan Knight, Barry Jenkins, Brian Gregersen, Maggie Zwart and Nick deLongpre.  Notable finishers included Jerry Jansen Jr. in 11th.  Cliff Lambert set quick time while Curtis Towne won the ‘B’.  Doug Nelson, Cook and Smith won the heats.

Next on the schedule is LKQ Low Dough Night featuring the WZUU 92.5 Shootout for the Outlaw Super Late Models.  The Super Stocks will be running the Super Stock Summertime 50 presented by Johnny’s Auto Sales, which will pay $750 to win.  The Mini Stocks and Cyber Stock will also be on hand.  The show will be JUST $8 for adults, $5 for teens and FREE for kids!!
