“Bubba” Collects Super Shoe Nationals Victory

2014 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Kalamazoo Speedway Outlaw Super Late Model champion Mike “Bubba” Brooks completed another dream season with a victory in the 28th Annual Super Shoe Nationals Sunday at Kalamazoo Speedway.  Brooks set 3rd quick time during Friday night’s qualifying session and had to start 18th in the feature as a result.  He methodically worked his way to the lead and once he took it he never looked back holding off Brian Ross, Mark Shook, Nick Pressler and Corey Ryman for the victory. Matt Corliss led the second half of the top ten over Matt Frazier, Phil Bozell, Roger Northrup and Rick Senneker.

Super Shoe Nationals ‘B’ Feature – Andy Rutherford

Super Shoe Nationals ‘C’ Feature – Jesse VanAvery

Super Shoe Nationals ‘D’ Feature – Brian Town

Only one race remains on the 2014 Kalamazoo Speedway schedule and that is the Pumpkin Patch Enduro Presented by Scott’s Cards coming up Saturday, October 11.  This race will crown the 2014 Kalamazoo Speedway Enduro Series champion.  Shane Miller will bring a slim ten point lead into the final event over Jeff Cauffman with Brad Thayer (-18), Alan Thornton (-24) and Tristan Dupuis (-25) also within striking distance of the point lead.
