Mike “Bubba” Brooks fourth place finish in Saturday night’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Outlaw Super Late Model feature at Kalamazoo Speedway was good enough to secure him his second consecutive track championship. The second championship puts “Bubba” in elite company as a multiple time champion in the Outlaw Super Late Model division. Brooks joins Andy Bozell, Terry Senneker, Mike VanSparrentak, Bob Holley, Fred Campbell and Tom Martin as the only drivers to win multiple titles dating back to 1982.

Mark Shook became the eight different winner in this season’s first fifteen races. Shook held off a late charge from Matt Corliss to pick up the victory while Billy Shannon, Brooks and Matt Frazier rounded out the top five. Brandon Zachary led the second half of the top ten over John Chapman, Matt Krywosinski, Roger Northrup and Dan Roodvoets. AJ Foote set quick time while Zachary and Brooks won the heat races.

The Super Stocks saw Brandon Lyons break up the Head brother’s stranglehold on victory lane with a victory in the “Allstar Performance 35”. Kenny Head finished second ahead of Chris Shannon, John Long and Kelli Jo Hofacker. Jerry Pierman finished sixth beating out Scott Rugg, Jack Cook, point leader and fast qualifier Buddy Head and Jordan Hunderman.

The Pro Stocks put on a great show with John Foote Jr. emerging victorious in the twenty car field. Barry Jenkins ran an impressive second ahead of Dave Knowlton, Brent Hook and former champion Greg Haynes. The second half of the top ten was led by Keith Wilfong over Budd Hybels, Greg Brown, Zach Westdorp and Ron Landis. Foote Jr. also set quick time while Hook and Hybels won the heat races.

Fast qualifier Logan Knight started dead last and drove all the way to the front to collect the victory in the twenty five lap Mini Stock feature. Jerime Damron finished a solid second ahead of Chuck Greer, Steve Potter and former champion Frank Stager. Chaz Hook finished sixth beating out Sierra Lantz, Shane Clark, Josh Salter and Curtis Towne. Chaz Hook and Damron collected the heat race victories.

Jerry Jansen Jr.’s fourth place finish in “Cyber Stock Madness Presented by Applebee’s” was enough to secure him the 2014 Cyber Stock track championship. Jansen Jr. becomes the first two time champion in the history of the Cyber Stock division, which was formed in 2009. Jansen Jr. entered Saturday night’s event in third position in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Division V national point standings and will now set his sights on trying to become the national champion.

Brian Gregersen collected the victory in the twenty five lap Cyber Stock feature holding off young Keegan Dykstra for the win. Kyle Jansen finished third ahead of Jansen Jr. and Cliff Lambert. Ryan Hufford led the second half of the top ten over Drew Maxwell, Doug Nelson, Jason Ratashak and Kyle Shannon. Jansen Jr. also set quick time.
