How are the points done for Rookie of the year .
The points are based on the number of drivers in the feature with a NASCAR license. In addition the winner always recieves a 5 point bonus. Take the number of drivers with a license and multiply it by two to figure the amount of points to win without the additional five. So with 17 cars it would pay 39 points to win (17 X 2=34, then add 5). Then each position goes down by two points so second would pay 32 points, 3rd would pay 30 and so on. The maxiumum field size is twenty cars so the most any driver can ever score in an event would be 45 (20 X 2=40, then add 5). If there are more than twenty cars then 20th on back all receive two points.
