Adam VanAvery has a slim 10 point advantage over Jimmy Gallagher in the race for the Michigan State Rookie of the Year title. VanAvery has one top ten in six races in 2011 but has been a fixture at the track each and every week, starting all six point races the Outlaw Super Late Model division has had. Gallagher now sits just ten points behind VanAvery in the rookie battle and “Rocket” Rich Mersereau is just 12 points back in third place.
