Terry Senneker led a Team Green 1-2 finish in Saturday nights Intimidator 100 at Kalamazoo Speedway. Senneker took the lead at the halfway point and held off a late challenge by teammate Steve Needles to collect the victory. Andy Bozell’s third place finish gave him the events final lock-in spot for the 2010 AllStar Performance All-Star Shootout. Trent Hellenga had an impressive fourth place finish just ahead of Tom Thomas. Phil Bozell, Billy Shannon, Brandon Lyons, Rick Senneker and John Chapman completed the top ten. Thomas was the fastest qualifier with a 12.807.
Mike Brooks took advantage of Ben Raber’s car failure and pulled away to win Modified Mania. Veteran Chris Orr finished second ahead of Brent Hook, AJ Foote and Randy DeBoer. Rookie Matt Bainbridge was sixth ahead of Dan Logan, Lindsay Katz, Raber and Alan Darlinson. Brooks also set quick time with a new track record time of 13.405.
The Super Stock feature saw a ton of cautions but in the end Buddy Head held off defending champ Phil Bozell for the win. Matt Corliss, Jake Hopwood and Chris Shannon completed the top five ahead of Kelli Jo Hofacker, Tom Sevigny, Bryan VanZile, Rick VanHouten and Mickey Cornwell. Hank Miller set quick time with a 13.873.
The Pro Stocks saw Butch Glass take the lead at lap ten and never look back holding off a hard charging Jeff Wannamaker at the finish. Keith Wilfong, Jim Wheaton and Kevin England were third through fifth. Rounding out the top ten were quick qualifier Matt Noble, Dave Bowen, Alan Rhoderick, Dennis Nyhuis and Jamie Miller.
Finally the Cyber Stocks saw a thrilling finish with Nick Layman coming out on top of Keith Dunham and Dale Leonard. The rest of the top ten were Doug Smith, Logan Knight, Shawn Misak, Jerry Jansen, Brian Gregersen, Clark Smith and Walter Neilson. Misak was the fastest qualifier.
Next on the schedule will be the re-scheduled Autograph Night. All of the Kalamazoo Speedway cars and stars will be down on the track at 6pm next Saturday to sign autographs. There will be a lot of goodies for the kids as well. All five classes will return highlighted by the Outlaw Super Late Models.
