Battle Creek, MI – The Battle Creek Revolution Hockey Club is excited to announce the first ever Short Track Racing Night at Revolution Arena on Saturday, March 13th at 7:30pm against the Chi-Town Shooters. The Revolution will be working with several racers from the Galesburg Speedway, Kalamazoo Speedway, Arena Racing, and Butler Motor Speedway to help raise money for Autism Awareness on this exciting night. The night will also feature an Arena Race on Ice during the first intermission.
The Revolution will be looking to set a franchise record for attendance with this special night to recognize the areas best racers and helping raise money for Autism Awareness. There will be several events going on to raise money for this group during the days leading up to the game with game tickets being sold by the drivers from their respective speedways with $2 of each pre-sold tickets by the drivers going to Autism Awareness. There will be a silent auction that will be held by the racers on game day with a Sky Box to the Kalamazoo Speedway, Autographed Revolution Apparel, and much more up for grabs. There will also be a Car Show outside of Revolution Arena with the car collecting the most money becoming the best of show.
As for the entertainment going during the intermissions of the hockey game against the Shooters the Arena Racing of Grand Rapids, Mi will be doing a special race on the ice during the first period. Then during the second intermission we will bring a couple of cars from the local short tracks out on the ice to entertain the hockey fans. The Kalamazoo Speedway will also be giving away a buy one get one free pass to all Revolution fans that come through the door that night. Other local speedways and drivers will also have giveaways through the night for the fans.
The Battle Creek Revolution are locked in a tight battle of playoff position for home ice against the Shooters. The Revolution lead the All American Hockey League in goals scored, penalty minutes, and fighting majors that make them the most exciting team to watch in the league. Individual game tickets are $7.00 Adults, $6.00 Seniors, $5 Students with IDs, and $4.00 Youth hockey players with jersey on.
