The Kalamazoo Speedway will once again play host to the 18th running of the Kalamazoo Klash, one of the most anticipated Outlaw Super Late Model races in the country. On Wednesday, August 11, 2010, this 150-lap racing extravaganza will showcase the biggest Outlaw Late Model Stars in the Midwest. Some of the biggest names in the racing industry that have raced the Klash in the past 17 years include such stars as former Klash champion Johnny Benson, Matt Kenseth, Ken Schrader, Adam Petty, David Stremme along with several others. Local favorites such as Steve Needles, Terry Senneker, Andy & Phil Bozell, Tom Thomas and Joe Bush have taken on and defeated some of these superstars in this extremely prestigious race, while protecting their home turf.
Kalamazoo Speedway is now giving the chance for a fellow racer, a race fan in the stands or a local company to be a part of this historic race. We are offering the opportunity to be a Lap Money Sponsor, which entails sponsoring one or more of the 150 laps that will be run, while deciding the 18th annual Klash Champion. A Kalamazoo Klash Lap Sponsor banner will be displayed on the midway throughout the season, your company will appear on the entry list/qualifying sheet on race day, as well as public address announcements of the companies throughout the season. The driver that is leading the lap that you sponsor receives that lap money, which will add over $3000 to the total purse of the event. Be a part of the Kalamazoo Klash today! Laps cost $20 each, with laps 1, 76, 101, and 150 costing $50 each.
